SWTC’s first ‘Pop Up Start Up Market’ on Thursday, 26 October was a huge success despite the wet weather. New traders from across Uttlesford showcased their products, and for some it was their first time trading at a market.   They had a wonderful time and are keen to attend more of these events. Said one trader, “We had a fantastic day meeting customers new and old. The way the market was run was amazing and very professional.”

Funding from the Shared Prosperity Fund allowed the Town Council to provide the first in a series of additional markets, aimed at supporting new traders and small businesses within the Uttlesford area.  Said a Town Council spokesperson “The first Pop Up Start Up Market was an excellent opening for new traders; thank you to residents who supported them!”

The FREE half term family activities, were also well received.  Halloween crafts, fun games and performance from Saffron Hall’s pantomime ‘Cinderella’, FREE face painting and live music from Ben Smith all added to the fun and excitement. Said a visitor, “Great FREE activities put on – My children loved the face painting and craft station, thank you!”
