The Town Council is a service provider and facilitator for the community. We work for and in partnership with local people and organisations.

There are three tiers of local government that provide services in Saffron Walden:

·        Essex County Council

Market  (Tuesday & Saturday Weekly and additional Pop-Up Markets)

Monthly meetings (Council; 2nd Monday of the month, Planning and Transport (twice monthly on the 2nd and 4th Thursday), Finance & Establishment (3rd Monday of the month), Assets and Services (4th Monday of the month)

Planning Matters (acting as a statutory consultee)
