SWTC Shopper Bus Gets Off to a Successful Start
Saffron Walden Town Council successfully launched its free Tuesday Shopper Bus service yesterday. The service, has been introduced to support the local market and businesses, encourage sustainable travel, and make it simpler for people to visit Saffron Walden without needing to drive or find parking.
Passengers using the bus during the first week were able to take advantage of the free service and use local business promotions and discounts.
The free Shopper Bus runs every Tuesday for the duration of the 12-week trial. The full timetable is available online at saffronwalden.gov.uk/news/swtc-shopper-bus/ and paper copies are available from the Tourist Information Centre in Market Square.
SWTC thanks its partners in the delivery of this project:
– Parish Councils: Newport, Hadstock and Littlebury
– Uttlesford District Council
– and the Business Improvement District
Feedback on the service can be sent to enquiries@saffronwalden.gov.uk or provided in person at the Tourist Information Centre.
