Saffron Walden to host 12-week trial of free Tuesday bus service into the market
Saffron Walden Town Council is pleased to announce its FREE 12-week trial Shopper bus service, helping residents and visitors access the town centre more easily every Tuesday within August and October 2026.
The initiative is designed to support the local market and businesses, encourage sustainable travel, and make it simpler for people to visit Saffron Walden without needing to drive or find parking.
A spokesperson for Saffron Walden Town Council said: “We are delighted to initiate this trial free bus service. We hope residents and visitors will make use of the service during the 12-week trial and share their feedback”

Passengers will be eligible to a range of exclusive Tuesday discounts at local retailers (listed within the bus ticket which must be presented to claim the discounts).
