Audley End House & Gardens offers its support to Saffron Walden’s bid to become Town of Culture 2028. Audley End has been a deep-rooted part of Saffron Walden’s community since the 12^th century, first as the Benedictine priory Walden Abbey and then later as one of the finest Jacobean houses in England. Today, it is a nationally significant historic landmark and visitor attraction, welcoming more than 150,000 visitors each year and hosting important events including Saffron Walden Pride and the Heritage Live concerts.
