YOUNG PEOPLE to ‘HAVE THEIR SAY’!

Saffron Walden Town Council (SWTC) and Saffron Walden Youth Outreach Project’s (YOP) are asking young people to complete the YOUTH CONSULTATION 2026 to be in with a chance to win a £30.00 voucher from a Saffron Walden retailer of their choice!

What is it like for young people living in Saffron Walden? Do they feel safe?  What do young people do in Saffron Walden out of school?  And, what would they like to have more of?  13 -19 year olds can “have their say” and shape where youth funds are spent in 2026 and beyond – the survey can be found here: https://forms.gle/fKTs22JHBpyHcFkg6

Under 13’s (age10-13) can have their say too; this will be paper based and will require parental consent, a copy of which is available from the Tourist Information Centre.

Said Mike Hibbs, Chair of Saffron Walden Youth Outreach Project, “I’m delighted that the Charity and Saffron Walden Town Council continue to work together and this survey will illustrate what facilities young people would like in the Town; too often their voice is not heard. The Youth Outreach Project has been supporting young people for 30 plus years, during which we have provided a Drop-in Centre, various Youth Clubs, and have carried out street based outreach work around the town. The survey gives us the opportunity to find out what young people want in 2026.”
