Vacancy: Full Time Gardener/Grounds Maintenance Operative

SCP 7 at £26,403 + a 1.5% local enhancement

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Council’s Operations Team.  Working as part of an award-winning team, you will maintain facilities such as the Town Hall, public open spaces and the town centre.  The post will contribute positively to the town’s environment and surroundings, making Saffron Walden a cleaner, smarter, and more attractive place to live, work and visit, enhancing the quality of life for all.

The post would suit a motivated, enthusiastic, and conscientious person, capable of working hard in all weathers and all environments at times unsupervised.  The post is offered on annualised hours which will include some weekend working on a rota basis with other staff.  Hours will average 37 hours per week.
