Casual Event Staff
£15.00 per hour – zero hour contract
SWTC is looking to appoint a bank of casual staff to support the delivery of Town Council events, activities, and private bookings.
Whilst the role will be responsible for opening and closing venues it will have three primary areas of working:
- Weddings – Meeting with Registrars, wedding party and guests.
- Events – First point of contact representing the Council, meeting suppliers, handling of card/cash for refreshments during events.
- Operations – Setting up venues (moving tables, chairs, stage), litter picking, cleaning.
You may have a focus on one or more of the above duties and will not necessarily be required or discriminated against if you are not able to meet all duties.
Notably given the nature of the role anti-social hours, including evening and weekend working will be required.
Facilities Cleaner
Hourly rate of £11.39 (Subject to 2023-24 pay rise) – Minimum 10 hours a week
The primary objective of this post is to clean the Town Hall and its offices (and possibly other SWTC owned assets in the area).
This is a permanent 10 hour a week (minimum) post and days/times will be flexible for the needs of the Council and the postholder. It is expected most hours will take place weekly on a Monday.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning regimes and working in a public environment with a flexible and can-do attitude.
