SWTC Christmas Events and Sponsors, Light Switch On
Saffron Walden Town Council’s Christmas Light Switch On!
Preparations are fully underway for the start of Christmas celebrations to commence in Saffron Walden! The fun starts with the ‘Light Switch On’ next Friday 21 November at 6pm. Food, party and dancing will be taking place in the Market Place from 4pm and into the evening until 7.30pm. Stuart Vant will again be hosting the event and Saffron Hall’s cast of Dick Whittington will be joining in with the fun. Said Stuart Vant, “I am very excited to be hosting the ‘Light Switch On’ once more. Each year we have built on the success of the last – this will be my fifth year and I am delighted to be invited back to spread some cheer and give back to the community.”
Saffron Walden Town Council (SWTC) appreciates the support from business sponsors and event partners in helping to bring an exciting schedule of Christmas events and activities to the community. Intercounty, Saffron Walden is again sponsoring all advertising around town and flyers for residents to pick up. Said Branch Manager, Blake Kingston, “As a local business rooted in Saffron Walden, Intercounty is proud to be once again supporting our community this Christmas. With lots of fantastic events dotted throughout the season for our wonderful residents, we can’t wait for the festivities to take over Saffron Walden.” Saffron Walden BID Manager, Mel Blackwell, added, “Saffron Walden BID is delighted to support the Town Council’s Christmas programme once again, including sponsorship of the town’s beautiful Christmas lights and the much-loved switch-on event that marks the official start of the festive season. These celebrations bring joy to residents and visitors alike, while creating a vibrant atmosphere that encourages footfall and supports our local businesses. We wish all our town’s businesses a fruitful and festive trading season – and look forward to seeing Saffron Walden sparkle.”
