Second half of 12 week Saffron Walden Bandstand Season!
Last Saturday indie pop band Eva’s Dream took part in the Bandstand Season for the first time. The crowd tuned into the Eva’s Dream vibe and they love it!
This Saturday, the genre returns to Brass. Traditional village band, Cottenham Brass Band will entertain with a selection of music from films and musicals, popular tunes, and marches. They typically play for fetes and church concerts throughout the year and compete in the 4th section at the annual area championships.
The Bandstand Sessions will continue throughout the summer every Saturday until 05 September – a total of 12 weeks, showcasing a range of local musicians and performers to the heart of the town. A Saffron Walden Town Council (SWTC) spokesperson said, “we are delighted to received funding from Uttlesford District Council. £1650.00 from its One Off Community grant supports the continuation of the Bandstand Season, which provides free music for the community, and now a favourite in the local events calendar”
Jubilee Hub will also be open for refreshments. For details of upcoming sessions, please visit Saffron Walden Town Council’s website at www.saffronwalden.gov.uk and social media channels.
