On Tuesday 14^th March Saffron Walden’s Annual Town Meeting of electors took place in The Town Hall, Saffron Walden. The meeting was well attended with public, community groups and the Town Council. It provided a great opportunity to celebrate the projects and achievements which have taken place in Saffron Walden during the past year.

The Mayor, Cllr de Vries passed on his thanks to the Saffron Walden Neighbourhood working group for their tremendous efforts in preparing the neighbourhood plan which was formally adopted in 2022. The Mayor, also presented Mike Hibbs (Chair of the Neighbourhood Plan Group) with a glass engraved paper weight to formally say thank you on behalf of the Town Council.

Appreciation was also expressed to the Churches Together in Saffron Walden volunteers for running the Warm Welcome Hub service at the Garden Room, with attendance increasing weekly.
