Looking for a flexible job supporting people in your local community?  Community Agents Essex is seeking to add to the team.  Community Agents support adults, especially older people and people with learning disabilities and autism and their informal carers,  to enable them to remain living in their own homes. The role involves visiting people in their own homes – on an appointment system – and explaining the help and support that is available to meet their individual needs. It is not a personal caring role.

The job is flexible to fit around personal/family commitments, agents generally work between 10 and 20 hours a week and for these roles we are looking for 15-20 hours (to be agreed with successful candidates). The starting salary is £10.20 per hour plus travelling expenses.  Full training and support will be provided but you must have a good knowledge of the local community and the district. An interest in or experience of Learning disabilities and autism would be beneficial but not essential. An enhanced DBS will be carried out.
