Public Water Fountains – Fully Operational Across Saffron Walden
Did you know Saffron Walden Town Council provides five fully operational free drinking water fountains across Saffron Walden?
Locations include:
- The Walled Garden in Bridge End Garden
- Jubilee Gardens
- Common Playground
- Close Garden by St Mary’s Church
- And the Market Square Fountain
These fountains are operational throughout the spring and summer months and are regularly checked by the Operations Team to provide residents and visitors access to water free of charge – users are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles and make full use of the facilities.
This initiative supports SWTC’s commitment to sustainability, reducing single-use plastic waste and helping to reduce the town’s carbon footprint.
By providing accessible drinking water in popular outdoor spaces, the Town Council aims to help residents and visitors stay hydrated while enjoying local amenities, and to encourage the use of reusable bottles.
