Mayor Making at St Mary’s Church for the Mayor of Saffron Walden

The Civic Service for the Churching of the Mayor, Councillor Heather Asker, was held on Saturday,17 June with the Reverend Ella Harris conducting the Service at St Mary’s Church, Saffron Walden.  Mr James Scruby, Deputy Lord Lieutenant, was in attendance with the Town Clerk & Councillors, and friends and family of the Mayor.  A retiring collection raised over £80 which will be used to support Heather’s chosen charities; Fairycroft House Arts and Media Centre and Saffron Walden Youth Outreach Project.
