Saffron Walden Town Council (SWTC) is again seeking the views and opinions of Saffron Walden residents. It is particularly keen to hear from residents that currently attend the activities at Jubilee Hub, to understand what elements of the service are most important. SWTC is also keen to hear from those that do not currently use the services to understand why.
Responses from this consultation will help to inform the future direction, improve the offering and services delivered from Jubilee Hub – the data will similarly be used to make further improvements to the building and infrastructure – and by illustrating a strong community voice, it will also support a substantial bid to The National Lottery.
- The Jubilee Hub Partnership comprises Saffron Walden Town Council (SWTC), Enterprise East Group CIC and Uttlesford Community Action Network. Jubilee Hub opened its doors in April 2023 with a soft launch phase of activities over its first year which proved to be a busy time for the partnership. In the last two years the partnership has established a varied activity programme offering youth services such as; Chat & Chill Youth Group and The Artist Hour, as well as retaining the established programme such as The Fellarship and Warm Welcome Hub. October 2025 saw the opening of the kitchen offering its community lunches on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Meet the Jubilee Hub Partnership team on Wednesday 07 October 2026 at Jubilee Hub, 12.15pm – 1.45pm. Everyone is welcome to attend! You will be able to enjoy a lunch, free of charge – as well as chat with partners or find out how you can be involved.
The kitchen opened a year ago, extending the service offering at Jubilee Hub. Basic hot lunches are served on Mondays and Wednesdays which consist of baked potatoes with fillings and a variety of ‘things on toast’. The aim is to provide affordably priced, nutritious lunches and help people’s weekly budget go a little bit further in a warm, safe and accessible setting.
