The ‘Modern Mythologies’ artwork installation by Walter & Zoniel is coming to Saffron Walden this week.  It is one part of a giant colourful artwork installed across five Essex towns.  The installation in Jubilee Garden (on the grass), takes place this Friday 8th and when completed at approximately 6pm can be viewed  thereafter – and over the coming weeks; it will gradually fade.  It is a poem inspired by cherished memories, personal tales, and deep-rooted connections to the county and those submitted from the town’s residents have inspired the ‘Saffron Walden’ installation. You might be interested to know that the paint being used is a water-based, biodegradable and environmentally-friendly product (non-harmful to humans, animals or the environment).

The poetic masterpiece will be captured from the air via drones, as the artwork will be meticulously photographed and filmed, offering a bird’s-eye view of the artwork and poetry. It will be live on the project website from Monday 11 September.
