Grand Opening of the Beach on The Common a Great Success!
Saffron Walden Town Council’s (SWTC) ‘Grand Opening’ of the Beach on The Common took place last Thursday 23 July 2026, with the Town Mayor, Cllr Jeanette Curtis officially opening the beach. It was a beautifully sunny day which made the free ice cream even more enjoyable!
The fun started with a selection of dance performances from Kate Plummer School of Dance. A SWTC spokesperson said, “Thank you so much to Kate and all her talented students. The dances were brilliant and added so much energy and fun to the afternoon.”
