Celebrate the King’s Coronation in aid of St Clare Hospice
His Majesty the King’s Coronation is almost here! So if you’re getting together with family and friends to celebrate over the Bank Holiday weekend, then why not raise a bucket to St Clare Hospice whilst you’re raising a glass?
Whether you’re going all out with a street party, or planning tea and cake in the garden, make it count by also collecting for your local hospice. The great thing about hosting a Coronation Fundraiser is that it can be as simple or as elaborate as you like and whether you raise £50 or £500, every penny counts.

Bereavement Cafés – here for you
St Clare Hospice runs a series of eight, local Bereavement Café groups – which are open to all and free to attend. At St Clare, we feel that some of the most meaningful support you may experience when you have been bereaved, is through connecting with others who have had similar experiences.
Our Bereavement Café project aims to connect local people together, to support each other throughout grief. Everyone is welcome to access this free, community-led service – whether your loss was recent, or a long time ago.
Find your nearest Bereavement Café on the website: stclarehospice.org.uk/bereavement-cafe or call 01279 945089 to find out more
Are you struggling with breathlessness? We can help!
St Clare’s Breathlessness Group can help you manage breathlessness, which is a common symptom caused by COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, cancer, and heart failure. Managing breathlessness can help to improve your mobility and function – enabling you to do more and live well – with less anxiety and more confidence.
Our free, breathlessness course can help you:
- Develop techniques to manage your breathlessness
- Connect you with other local people with similar experiences
- Build confidence
- Keep active, and doing the things you love
The group is free of charge, and is for all adults aged over 18, who are facing a life-limiting condition. You just need to be registered with a West Essex GP or on the East Hertfordshire border.
If you think you could benefit from the support of our Breathlessness Group, please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you. Call our First Contact Service on 01279 773774 or email patients@stclarehospice.org.uk
