E-scooters
We have seen a noticeable increase in mini-scooters in and around town. Many of these are considered by the Department for Transport to be classed as mopeds and as such should meet all the requirements necessary for a vehicle on the public highway; this includes tax, insurance and MOT. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/mini-scooters/mini-scooters
Recent Commons debate has found that e-scooters cannot be ridden on the public highway or roads : https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/e-scooters-why-are-they-not-legal-on-uk-roads/
Please do not fall foul of the law and be certain to know the road and legal requirements if riding a mini moped or scooter. Help keep yourself, your family, friends and public safe by being fully aware and informed of the law and legal requirements.
