Creativity at the Saffron Walden Town Council’s second FREE Lantern making workshop!
Saffron Walden Town Council (SWTC) hosted the second of two FREE lantern making workshop at The Jubilee Hub, last Saturday. The busy session saw families decorate their own lanterns – all in readiness for the annual lantern parade this Friday 12 December.
A SWTC spokesperson said, “a big thank you to all the workshop volunteers for their time and enthusiasm; Saffron Players, Jess and Paul Gloyne; Saffron Walden Lions Club, David Broadley, Rod Bird and Mark Warren; Cllr Lucy Abercromie (and daughters Saskia & Vivienne), Cllr Jeanette Curtis, Cllr Patrick Hawsmith, Cllr Denise Jones and Cllr Alex Reeve.”
Lanterns made at the recent workshops will be available for collection at St Mary’s Church at 5.30pm on Friday 12 December for the Lantern Parade – SWTC look forward to seeing you there.
