Saffron Walden Town Council (SWTC) will be highlighting the importance of Climate Change initiatives for Great Big Green Week on Tuesday 10 June, between 10am – 2pm in the Market Square, CB10 1HR, Saffron Walden.
Come and have a chat with SWTC and fill out your ‘Summer 2025 pledge’ card and be entered into the green prize draw! Pledges can be as small or large as you like – all are significant and even small changes make a difference collectively.
A SWTC spokesperson said, “we look forward to chatting with local residents – pledges could range from; planting your own produce and/or flowers (vegetables / herbs / flowers / trees) to support biodiversity and reduce air miles to: educating yourself on climate change initiatives and finding out how you can save energy in your home, by attending the Climate Change Community Engagement event in The Town Hall on Saturday 28 June”
All pledge participants on 10 June will also be entitled to a free packet of wild flower seeds for collection at the engagement event on Saturday 28 June.
