Saffron Walden Town Council celebrated Claire Haddock’s 20 years of service last week with a certificate and presentation. She joined the Town Council back in 2003 as a Facilities Cleaner on a temporary basis but since 2015, she has focussed on bookings for Council venues.  Since taking over the bookings function, she has introduced the town hall as a wedding venue.  This has proven to be such a successful little business on its own that the town hall is now known as ‘the place in SW to get married’ and she has been right at the centre of making the wedding day so special for many couples.

Lisa Courtney, the Town Clerk describes Claire as “a wonderful star and asset” and “an exemplary employee, with a positive and can-do attitude”. (Photograph shows the Town Mayor, Cllr Heather Asker, and Claire Haddock).
