In 2021, the famous art pottery “Moorcroft”, which has been making pieces by hand since 1897, created a vase called “Saffron Gold” especially for Saffron Walden. The vase stands 5” tall (approximately 12.5cms) and features the saffron crocus, Crocus sativus. The vase can be purchased at Saffron Walden Tourist Information Centre (TIC) at 1 Market Place, Saffron Walden, or it can be bought online:
