Saffron Walden Town Council Christmas Closures
Saffron Walden Town Council (SWTC) wishes all residents a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Please note the following:
SWTC offices will be closed during the festive period from Wednesday 24 December 2025, re-opening Monday 5 January at 8.30am.
Saffron Walden Market will be open Saturday 20 December for your last-minute gifts, and open on Tuesday 23, Saturday 27 and Tuesday 30 December as usual.
The Tourist Information Centre (TIC) will be closed on Wednesday 24 December, re-opening on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 December, 9.30am – 4.00pm. On Wednesday 31 December the TIC will be open 10.30am – 1pm, closed on Thursday 1 January, and re-opening as normal from Friday 2 January, 9.30am – 4.00pm.
Bridge End Gardens will be closed from midday on Wednesday 24 December, and re-open at 11am on Friday 26 December. The Maze will then remain closed to the public until Easter (weather permitting).
Jubilee Hub will be closed during the festive period. The last session will be on Monday 22 December – with an affordable Christmas Lunch from 12 noon – 2pm, everyone welcome. Regular weekly activities will reconvene on Monday 05 January 2026.
Radwinter Road Cemetery remains open during the Christmas and New Year period for families and friends to visit if they wish.
‘Memory Tree’ Christmas baubles in remembrance of loved ones may be purchased from the Tourist Information Centre, Market Square, until Wednesday 24 December.
