You are summoned to attend a MEETING of the PLANNING AND ROAD TRAFFIC COMMITTEE of SAFFRON WALDEN to be held in the COUNCIL CHAMBER of the TOWN HALL on THURSDAY, 28th FEBRUARY 2019 commencing at 7.30pm to transact the business as set out in the agenda below. 

 

All other Councillors are welcome to attend this meeting but will not be formal members of the committee and will not receive any voting rights.  Non-Committee members will not be able to participate in or remain present for any discussions held under Part 2, Confidential Matters.

the building by the nearest designated fire exit. You will be directed to the nearest

exit by a designated officer. It is vital you follow their instructions.

Examination of Uttlesford District Local Plan

 

Committee to note that the Secretary of State has appointed Inspectors Ms Louise Crosby MA MRTPI and Ms Elaine Worthington BA(Hons) MT MUED RPTI to carry out the independent examination of the Local Plan. The Independent Programme Officer is Louise St John Howe.

Appeal Ref APP/C1570/D/18/3218840

 

Committee to note that the decision to refuse application UTT/18/170/HHF was appealed and the appeal was dismissed with the following conclusion:

 

I have found that the proposed parking provision would not have an adverse effect on highway safety, but have found that the cumulative additions would have an adverse effect on the character and appearance of the original dwelling and surrounding streetscene. This would be so significant that even taking into consideration PSED [Public Sector Equality Duty], I dismiss the appeal.
