Saffron Walden Annual Town Meeting of electors 2025 – 6 May at 7.30pm
Saffron Walden Annual Town Meeting of electors will be held on Tuesday 6 May at 7.30pm. Entry to the Town Hall will be via the main front doors off the Market Square.
If you live in Saffron Walden and if you have a question for the Town Council, then you are very welcome to attend this meeting.
Electors who have questions or proposals for discussion at the meeting are politely requested to submit them in writing to the offices of Saffron Walden Town Council, The Town Hall, Market Street, Saffron Walden, CB10 1HZ or via email to enquiries@saffronwalden.gov.uk no later than noon on Thursday 17 April.
Pre-advice of questions simply allows for a fully informed response to be provided at the meeting, but questions may still be taken from the floor at the meeting and a response to those may be supplied at a later date, allowing the Council opportunity to provide an informed response.
Those asking questions (in writing or at the meeting) are asked to provide documentary identification (i.e., driver’s license or a council tax bill) showing the individuals name and residential address; aiding officers to cross reference the electoral roll, ensuring only those entitled to ask questions (Saffron Walden residents) do so.
The meeting is open to everybody in Saffron Walden and it is a great opportunity to meet your Councillors and ask them questions. People can ask any questions as long as they are relevant to the activities of Saffron Walden Town Council. The Town Council is responsible for many services including open spaces, the market, allotments, Cemetery, play areas and public buildings such as the Town Hall and Golden Acre Community Centre.
Community groups in Saffron Walden who have benefitted from funding and support from the Town Council will also prepare presentations.
The Town Council very much looks forward to seeing you there.
In addition to the Annual Town Meeting, the Town Council also provides the opportunity for questions to be posed at every monthly Council and Committee meeting and details of these can be found online at www.saffronwalden.gov.uk
