Event at the Railway Arms where we plan to celebrate the coming of the Railway (and the building of the pub) to the town in 1865.

The RA will be commemorating various events in the run-up to the 160th anniversary of the opening of the line in 2025, starting with a small event somewhere on Beechy Ride, and afterwards at the Railway Arms, to mark the  anniversary of the ceremony of the ‘cutting of the first sod’ on 18th May 2023.
