We cordially invite you, to attend the ceremony proclaiming Suffolk Day on Friday 21st June on Market Square, Haverhill. 9.15am for a 9.30am start.
The event will be opened by the Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk, Clare, Countess of Euston, and the Mayor of Haverhill, Councillor David Smith.
This year’s proclamation has been written by students from Castle Manor and Samuel Ward Academy schools. The ceremony will also see the Suffolk Community Foundation present this year’s Suffolk Medals, which are awarded to those who have made exceptional contributions and a fundamental and lasting difference to the county of Suffolk and its people.
Following the event, you are invited to St Mary’s Church, Haverhill, for refreshments. Please let me know if you will be attending and if you will join us afterwards for refreshments. Please also let me know if you have any access or dietary needs.
