Invitation to the High Sheriff’s Awards 2025

I have much pleasure in inviting you to attend the High Sheriff’s Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 5 March 2025.

We are delighted to hold the event at Hylands House in Chelmsford, thanks to Essex County Council, Chelmsford City Council and the Office of the Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner, with additional support from BBC Essex.

Registration will take place from 6pm and the Awards Ceremony will start at around 6.30pm.  Light refreshments will be available afterwards and the evening will end at around 9.00pm.

Please note that free parking is available from 6pm in the visitors’ car park.  Cars are not allowed to park in front of the house except for disabled badge holders.

Since it was established in 1997, the High Sheriffs’ Fund, managed by Essex Community Foundation, has given 748 grants totalling nearly £750,000 to voluntary organisations that help make our local communities safer places in which to live and work.  This annual event gives the opportunity for the High Sheriff and other invited guests to recognise the work of local charities and their contribution to community safety initiatives across Essex.
