As mentioned, talkSPORT are working with Halifax on a ‘race across the UK’ style video to be released in partnership with their yearly list of the best places to live with the Sunday Times.

Two teams of two sporting names will start near Leeds and take two separate routes to race to the finish point of Saffron Walden. We have marked the finish point as the drinking fountain in the market square and would love if the Mayor Derek Eke could be at the finish line please?

We will have a gold envelope he could pass to the winner and if he would be able to give a couple of reasons on camera explaining why Saffron Walden is such a great place to live please? If possible, it would be great to have the Mayor dressed in his formal robes and hat.

This will be filmed on Wednesday 26th January and we would hope to be in Saffron Walden from around 4pm, but as the race is also done by public transport we may be at the mercy of travel disruption!

The video will be released on 24th March, the day after this year’s winner of best place to live is announced. The entire video will be posted to talkSPORT’s YouTube channel and 3 clips from this will be posted to Facebook, Instagram and X.
